To reach the first base camp of the Marangu Route, ascent the slopes of the highest peak in all of Africa. Early in the morning, you will leave Moshi in order to go to Marangu Gate. It will take around an hour to drive. You will start your Kilimanjaro Day Hike after finishing gate registration. You can encounter climbers coming down from the summit of Kilimanjaro as you ascend along a winding path through the mountain's jungle to Mandara Hut. You may have your lunch and go for a short stroll to the Maundi Crater at Mandara Hut. On a clear day, the views across Taveta and toward Mawenzi Peak are breathtaking, making the little climb well worth the effort. Upon reaching Maundi Crater, you will then have the chance to snap pictures before descending to the Marangu Gate. Our automobiles will be ready to transport you back to Moshi at Marangu Gate.
