Our second stop will be visit a small coffee farm, where you will learn about how the coffee is grown, harvested and processed locally. Try your own hand at processing, roasting and preparing a fresh cup of coffee. Once you have finished enjoying your coffee break, we will depart for the Ndoro Waterfalls. Our hike to the We will be guided to the waterfall's base via a lusciously green terrain, and the descent will take around an hour. You have the chance to unwind and cool yourself in the waterfall's pool right here. The trip to the Chagga Underground Caves and the Chagga Live Museum will be another highlight.
The Maasai moved to the lower slopes of Kilimanjaro during times of drought in search of food and water. The nearby Chagga people were murdered and sold into slavery. The Chagga constructed a vast network of underground tunnels as defense against these assaults. While you tour the caverns, your guide will use vivid illustrations to explain the fight. The Chagga Live Museum, a tiny outdoor museum that gives you further insight into authentic chagga life, is where we spend the remainder of our time. When we pause for lunch in a tiny restaurant as part of our tour, we also get to sample some chagga cuisine. A typical hot lunch will be provided here, and you'll also get to sample some of the wine and beer produced locally.
