In this 2 days safari you will first visit the Lake Manyara National Park with its tree climbing lions and more than 400 different bird species. The next day you visit the Tarangire National Park which is the home of the largest elephant population in the north of Tanzania. The park with its rough nature is still less visited than other parks in the north, our tip for real nature lovers. Accommodation is in tents at a campsite outside the parks near the small village Mto wa Mbu.

Day 0: Arrival day

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha town. You will meet your driver guide who will brief you on your upcoming safaris, then rest until the next day morning.
• Hotel check in starts at 12:00pm.
• Overnight at Masailand safari lodge
• Note: No meals included


Day 1: Arusha - Tarangire National Park

After breakfast we pick you up from your lodge in Arusha and drive to Tarangire National Park. The journey takes about 2 hours. Tarangire National Park is known for its large elephant population & giant baobab trees. 6000 elephants, 2,500 wildebeest & 3,000 zebra were recorded in this park. During the safari you will also see elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos and many other animal species. In the late afternoon you leave the national park, and will spend the night at a campsite near the small village Mto wa Mbu.

Day 2: Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

On this day it is best to leave the hotel as early as possible so you can see the variety of animals that are only active during the morning hours; breakfast will be packed in lunchboxes specifically for this purpose.
At 6:30 AM you will set off for Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and after about an hour you will already be inside the crater.
Ngorongoro is one of the most famous and interesting of Tanzania's national parks because here you can find the greatest number of different animal species per square kilometer. You will have the chance to see buffalo, elephants, lions, wildebeests, zebras, hippopotamus and feline species such as caracals and servals. The luckiest travelers might even see a rhinoceros, an animal whose numbers are rapidly declining.
By lunch time you will arrive at the lake side, where you will be offered lunchboxes, after which the safari will continue.During the game drive you will visit Lake Magadi the alkaline lake located on the southwest corner attracts a good number of flamingos, some hippos and other aquatic birdsIn the evening you will be transferred back to the hotel in Arusha.
