The approximately two million wildebeest, the main participants in the Great Migration, begin their journey in the southern Serengeti, where 500,000 calves are born between January and March. Many seasoned Serengeti guides consider this to be their favorite time of year because there is so much activity and new life in the air. There probably isn't anywhere else in the world a greater illustration of the circle of life. The voyage begins in the Southern Serengeti during the calving season for wildebeest. A feast for the eyes of true wildlife enthusiasts, predators like lions and hyenas are constantly hunting for young, and thousands upon thousands of calves are born within a few weeks of one another.
The herd heads north, towards the Masai Mara in Kenya, to feed on the tall green grass when the drought strikes in May. The gazelles and zebras follow shortly after. Risks associated with the journey include having to cross rivers in front of roughly 3,000 crocodiles that are waiting eagerly for a kill. Not to mention the lion population in the Serengeti, which is by far the largest in Africa. Despite the quantity of hoofed meat in the region, these huge cats struggle to survive in this harsh environment. However, witnessing a pride of lions working together to hunt down a wildebeest is an incredible sight.

You will be picked up at the Kilimanjaro International Airport and transferred to Arusha town. You will meet your driver guide who will brief you on your upcoming safaris, then rest until the next day morning.
Depart from Moshi to Serengeti National Park after breakfast via Ngorongoro/Oldupai Gorge where the fossil of first humans called Zinjanthropus where discovered by Dr. Lousy Leakey and Mary Leakey while accompanied with lunch boxes. Continue with afternoon game drive. Dinner and overnight at Seronera campsite.
Breakfast is followed by half day game drive in Serengeti National Park. This Park covers an area of 14,763sq km. The name Serengeti come from Maasai language and means “endless plains”. Here wildlife like Lion, Thompson and Grant Gazelle, Zebra, Buffalo, Hippo, Elephant & Cheetah. Drive to Ngorongoro for overnight at Simba campsite.

After breakfast you depart to Ngorongoro Crater at 6:30. Here you come across unique attractions near this historical caldera where man and wildlife are living together without harming one another.
Get a chance to observe wildlife including Lion, Elephant, Hippo, Wildebeest, Warthog and Zebra, and see also lake Magadi, Lerai Forest and Ngoitokito swamp; while accompanied with lunch boxes.
After lunch start driving to Moshi or Arusha.
