Price for Serengeti Balloon.A Serengeti balloon flight costs US$ 599 per person (this includes the Tanapa ballooning fee of US$ 40). This rate includes a transfer from your lodge or camp to the departure balloon site, the balloon flight itself, and a champagne breakfast (after landing). The flight will last anything in between 50 and 70 minutes. Depending on the landing site, also the breakfast site is set up at a different location daily. You will share the balloon with up to 16 passengers in total.

Planning for Serengeti Balloon Ride. Be ready for an extremely early start. Around 05:30, the transfer departs from the Seronera region, and at 04:00, it departs from the other lodges in the region. Please don't forget to pack some warm clothing and a bag for your camera, binoculars, and other personal belongings. We can organize departures for a Serengeti balloon safari from most lodges and camps in the Serengeti. We strongly advise making a balloon safari reservation in advance because it is a very popular activity that fills up quickly (especially during peak season).

Serengeti Balloon & Wildbeest Migration
Booking a flight in the Ndutu region would give you the best chance of seeing the Great Migration and its countless wildebeest and zebra, as enormous herds assemble here between December and March. The Great Migration may also be visible from above from the other sites, but keep in mind that the herd is movable and might only stay in one place for a few hours or days at a time. This implies that you will need some good fortune.

AFRICAN TREK & TRAVEL

Program ( 4 days )

During the annual migration, the Serengeti is home to hundreds of thousands of animals. Wildebeest move northwest across the park when they cross the Grumeti River in June and July. It's a sight that is undoubtedly at the top of many travelers' must-see lists. The herds had begun to move southward toward the southern Serengeti by December. They eat the short, grassy grasses of the plains there as food. The wildebeest calving season in late January and early February is arguably the Serengeti's most spectacular event. During the busiest time of the Serengeti calving season, 8,000 newborn wildebeest are born every single day. Nothing quite compares to watching a baby wildebeest take off sprinting after only a few minutes after being born

The Serengeti during calving season promises an amazing trip full of awe and lots of action. It is natural for huge cats to hunt baby wildebeest. You may expect to witness some breathtaking kills during the brief calving season, especially from the nimble cheetahs.

Lake Ndutu area, situated in the Ngorongoro conservation area, part of the southern Serengeti eco-system. Lake Ndutu is alkaline, like most of the other Rift lakes, however, the water is still drinkable and used by a wide array of local wildlife. The majority of the wildebeest migration can normally be found on the short-grass plains from December to April. The area is usually heavily populated with elephant, birds and resident game.

And in the evening as the sun goes down, Tanzania’s oldest and most popular national park, also a world heritage site and recently proclaimed a 7th worldwide wonder, the Serengeti is famed for its annual migration.

Day 3: Ndutu Area - Seronera

Early in the morning, enjoy a hot air balloon safari, then back to the camp for your breakfast followed with an afternoon game drive route to Serengeti Central (Seronera).

The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the "big five", named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen around.
