Cost of a 1-day itinerary to climb Mount Meru with African trek & travel. Our 1-day Meru hike package is intended for guests with restricted time and no interest in reaching the summit of the second highest mountain in Tanzania. you'll get lucky to visualize people living within the foothills of the mountain whereas viewing the breathtaking greenery and a few animals. It starts from Tengeru Cultural Center, twelve km from Arusha city on the mountain' slopes. Mount Meru: one day of ascension lasts for seven hours. you'll cowl 18km increasing and down. Best for hiking and tenting on the slopes, visiting the ash cone within the lower crater or walking hunting.

After breakfast depart Moshi concerning 8:30 a.m drive to Momella gate. create payment and begin the climb with picnic lunch to the primary hut referred to as Miriakamba hut. Dinner and overnight – Miriakamba hut (3 ½ hrs).
After breakfast we tend to proceed with a climb to second hut referred to as Saddle. this is be too steep half compared to the primary part (2 ½). throughout the afternoon, shopper can plan to try mounting very little Meru peak and back.
Wake up at middle-night and have a cup of tea before beginning attempt big Meru peak. Proceed to summit crossing rocky path and back to Saddle hut for full breakfast. The day are going to be spent resting. Lunch, dinner and overnight at Miriakamba hut.
Leave Miriakamba hut and descend right all the way down to Momella gate through first hut (Miriakamba) where you may be transferred to Arusha/Moshi.
